The ROWBURREY Family

Showing the descendents of Joseph who was baptised in 1816 in Bromyard. He left Herefordshire to seek work in the newly emerging industrial area of the South Wales Valleys. He was living in Aberdare, Glamorganshire by 1847 when he married his first wife Emma THOMAS there. He lived to the old age of 94, which may be a reflection of the fact that he does not appear to have actually worked underground in the mines. Whilst some of this family retain the spelling ROWBERRY today, others have acquired the distinctive spelling ROWBURREY. If that is your surname you should find yourself somewhere on this page. There is one family from this branch in the USA.
