There are representatives from several RUBERY families in the USA today. This tree shows just one of these families, the descendents of John RUBERY who married at Gort, Ireland in 1846, and emigrated to the USA in 1851. It is very likely that he was a brother of Michael RUBERY who gave his birthplace as Killarten, near Gort when he enlisted into the British Army. Afer his discharge he married in Manchester and went to Australia as a convict guard. Many of the Australian RUBERYs are his descendents.
I am indebted to his great- great-grandson Daniel J RUBERY who provided me with the information that I used to draw up this tree. It was my pleasure to meet him personally at the Family Gathering at Salt Lake City in May 2001, when he was able to provide me with several updates to the tree. Since then I have received updates from other members of the family, for which I am very grateful.
If you are a member of this family please check this tree and let me have any additions or corrections which are necessary. If you are not a member of this family then please see the foot of the page for links to the other Irish Trees on my website.
